Before and After Gallery Of Real Patients Varicose Veins

Before and After Gallery

Whenever a procedure involves the rudimentary skin puncture to access a vein the risk of infection cannot be ignored.  However, it is standard protocol in our center that the procedure site and environment conforms to rigid standards of antisepsis or sterility minimizing the risk for infections to occur.  It is an established fact that if adherence to antisepsis is enforced, the chance of infection requiring treatment is less than 1:1000.  Other risks, such as thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the vein) is rare and responds well to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).  Blood clots, though they do occur in all establishments across the whole patient population, are rare.

The procedures performed use local anesthetics to minimize discomfort to the patient.  The patient’s concern is always pre-eminent.  Although our center will always address and accommodate patient’s concerns, we will never compromise any deviation from our established standards.

Located in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, NY, easily accessible by public transportation, our center utilizes state of the art equipment by Angiodynamics’ VenaCure systems and GE’s ultrasonographic systems.  The patients are also attended to by a team of paraprofessionals the center is proud of.  Scheduling of procedures are individualized and are dependent on prior assessment of the patient’s condition and stipulations required by their respective health insurance, if applicable.

Get Your Beautiful Legs Back!

The Procedure

In less than the time it takes to watch a movie, you can get rid of the source of your varicose veins. The entire procedure typically lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour, and requires only a local anesthetic. Your physician will insert a thin laser fiber into the vein through a very small entry point, and the laser light that emits through this fiber will seal the faulty vein. While you might feel an unfamiliar sensation, it is not painful.

This part of the procedure takes literally just a few minutes. Your physician will encourage you to walk immediately after the procedure, and you can resume normal activity the same day (ask your physician when it is safe to resume rigorous activities). Some patients may experience temporary soreness, which can be treated effectively with over-the-counter, non-aspirin pain relievers and should subside within the first five days.

Results can be immediate – and are more than 95% effective.

After treatment, the appearance of the abnormal vein is instantly improved with minimal-to-no scarring. There may
be some slight swelling and minimal bruising around the treatment site. However, once that subsides, you will see a signi cant difference in the appearance of your legs. For those patients who don’t experience these small side effects, the results are obvious right away.

Published clinical studies show that the VenaCure EVLTTM procedure has more than a 95% initial success rate with excellent long term results. Veins that have been treated are very unlikely to become varicose again.
